Adamant Analytics

Visitor tracking that works with JavaScript and cookies switched off, using Server Side Includes.

Some visitors block scripts. Some pages cannot run them. Adamant moved pageview tracking to the server, using Server Side Includes, so it needed no JavaScript and set no cookies.

It works with Apache HTTP Server, Apache Tomcat, NGINX, and Microsoft IIS.

Configuration

  • GA_ACCOUNT for the web property ID
  • UTM_SOURCE, UTM_MEDIUM, and UTM_CAMPAIGN defaults
  • VISITOR_UA to derive a visitor ID from the user agent
  • USE_NOSCRIPT to wrap the output in a noscript tag

Why it is archived

Adamant was written for the classic Google Analytics collection endpoint, which Google has since retired. The code stays public as a reference for server side tracking.
